The lowcosttravelgroup (LCTG) includes 3 major trading businesses: lowcostholidays.com, a consumer facing travel sales business which sells a wide range of great value accommodation only and dynamically packaged holidays. lowcostbedsagents.com, one of the leading independent providers of high quality, competitively priced hotel accommodation to travel agents and ResortHoppa, the UK's leading independent holiday transfer business.
Clear Forward, who in the past year had previously built airport transfers sites for the company in Resorthoppa.com and LowCostTaxis.com were chosen in the summer of 2009 to develop a site for LCTG that built upon the existing technology to sell transfers and integrate it with the ability to sell airport parking, car hire and travel insurance, thereby effectively becoming a one-stop-shop for a customer looking to purchase their holiday extras for the lowest price possible.
For each type of holiday extra, suppliers were selected on the basis that their product catalogue could be accessed by the new site through a series of XML web services. As LCTG already had a well-established brand image, Clear Forward closely followed the existing look and feel of the other LCTG sites, and built the core pages of the site alongside a number of search engine friendly airport specific landing pages to boost SEO. Working with Travel Options, a booking journey was created for the user to allow them to add holiday extra products in a shopping cart fashion, before taking secure payment details and handing off the final booking to the Travel Options web booking and reporting system.

The new site was launched in September 2009, and in the first week of trading the site made over 500 bookings with only a £60 per day Pay Per Click cost. In the coming months, LCTG will fully integrate their new extras offering into their existing flagship site, lowcostholidays.com, and plan to extend the product range on the new site to include airport lounges and hotels.
